Hunger Family & Holding the Moon

Deeply grateful to Ruben Quesada of Luna Luna Magazine for giving “Hunger Family” a home. This poem was inspired by poems from Dave Bonta and Luisa A Igloria (at The Morning Porch and Via Negativa), and Guy Traiber’s comments on his Utopian Fragments blog.

I’d also like to thank James Brush, editor at Gnarled Oak, for encouraging the revisions that brought my poem “Holding the Moon” together, and then giving the final version a home in Gnarled Oak Issue 3: Blue Vegetarian Lions.
